Star Player of the Month Award (archive)

About the Program

In our shared services division we provide exceptional support in the areas of Facilities Maintenance, Faculty and Staff Visa Services, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Payroll Services. I am very proud of each of our team members and grateful for all they do for the university. Our team of over sixty highly trained employees ensures that the administrative units within the Office of the Provost can focus on their core functions as we work together to advance the academic mission and support our exceptional students, faculty and staff at USC. The Star Player of the Month award is an employee recognition program which celebrates the talents, values and dedication of our team members for their efforts in creating and providing an outstanding customer experience. The winners get a certificate of recognition and a gift card of their choice. They also get their name added to the football or soccer ball and the date of their recognition. The Star Player gets to keep the football for one month (only!) and then it gets passed along to the next Star Player. The football serves as a record of all those Star Players who have gone above and beyond to maintain a culture of exceptional service in our division. It is my privilege to work with such a diverse and talented team and I’m delighted to acknowledge their contributions with this award.

– Mark Todd, Vice Provost for Academic Operations.
